One of our flatmates is sadly moving away so we're looking for someone to take on the room from March (happy to discuss if you need to move sooner!) The lease runs until January 2027.
Our lovely flat sits on the hill above St Clair and has sweeping views of the ocean, harbour and hills. St Clair cafes and restaurants are a 10 minute walk down the hill. The flat is warm, dry and spacious. We have two lounges and a generous dining room/kitchen. Heat pumps and a woodburner keep the place cosy in Dunedin's chilly winter. There is a garage where we store firewood and outdoors gear.
The room available is small but has a built-in wardrobe and can fit a double-bed. You can move into the room with the existing furniture if you like: 1 x single bed, 1 x desk + chair, 1 x chest of drawers.
You will be flatting with 4 x young professionals/students aged in their 20s and 30s (4 guys) - two guys work in the corporate world, one guy is working for a Christian organisation and other man is doing his PhD. The group is independent but does enjoy hanging out together and we share a weekly flat meal to stay connected. We are involved in Dunedin City Baptist and Grace Presbyterian churches.
We enjoy keeping this beautiful house clean and tidy. Tenants look after the garden and lawns - we have some lovely areas with native plants and also a few raised beds for growing veggies. The culture of the flat is relaxed. We enjoy hosting potlucks and get-togethers but keep things quiet after 10pm.
Rent for 2026: $190 (including expenses) Expenses cover internet, power, toilet paper and cleaning supplies.
