We are currently looking for one warm and friendly person to fill one room in our 1940s Art Deco apartment block in Brooklyn, Wellington available from June 21st
The flat is fully furnished (Lounge and Kitchen ammenities) with two other flatmates occupying the flat. We are a fun, creative bunch that appreciate a peaceful communal vibe but are also into sharing a cuppa or a drink/meal/tv show together occasionally.
The building itself is situated on the flat which makes it very easy to access and move into with its own private parking lot.
A bit about us: all flatmates (1 guy, 1 girl) are working and mature within the 20-30s age bracket. Our interests include: food, art, literature, music and the latest and greatest tv shows.
The flat is 2 minutes walk to bus stop #7718 which goes directly down the hill to town in 10 minutes ($1.66/$3.32 off peak/on peak with your Snapper Card). It's just 5 minutes walk to the Brooklyn shops to a variety of restaurants, dairy, cinema, pie shop and cafes. A leisurely 20 minute saunter to Massey University or through Central Park to town.
The unfurnished room available is roughly 3.4 x 3.1m with a two-level storage wardrobe that is 1.5m wide, 50cm deep and 2 metres in height plus the extra level on top. It gets loads of afternoon sun and has plenty of natural light. It's curtained and comes with an electric heater to keep you warm through winter. Being a medium sized room it doesn't take long to warm up and does not have any problems with dampness (the flat too).
The room is $215 plus $35 expenses with the additional option of sharing the cost for some basic shared food items to keep the flat healthy and happy. What a deal!
The flat is on a fixed tenancy until September and will shift over to periodic from then if there is interest from the tenants.
