Hello! :) We have a cozy, self-contained space beneath our main house, with its own entrance and carport—perfect for short or long-term stays. Our last tenant loved living here for three years, and we’re always happy to lend a hand if you need anything. We’re a relaxed family of faith with two quiet kids and two cats. You’ll rarely hear footsteps above, but occasional sounds are normal (FYI - we've double-layer insulated the ceiling with ”soundproof” batts and also used double layers of "soundproof" gib.) we love our cats a lot and kindness towards animals is a must. Unfortunately we can't accommodate more pets here, though. The neighbourhood is stunning and peaceful—just 500m approx from Waiwera Beach and a short 1 minute drive or scenic walk through the bush to Wenderholm Regional Park. It’s a safe, tranquil spot close enough to Orewa and the motorway, yet far enough to enjoy a bit of paradise and avoid the peninsula traffic.
It is a modern and bright space, with great appliances and fittings. It has a cozy bedroom with plush carpet and a wardrobe, a modern tiled bathroom with a granite bench and large LED-lit mirror, a sunny living room with heatpump, and good sized kitchenette with soft-closing drawers and cupboards. It is not a full kitchen and does not have a built in oven. It’s partly furnished with a modern fridge, microwave, bench top oven, bench top element, bar stools, front-loading washing machine, and comfortable couches—though if you prefer to bring your own furniture, that’s totally fine. The rent also covers reasonable use of power, gas, water, WiFi, and rubbish.
We’d love a considerate and relatively quiet tenant who respects the peaceful environment, and we’re always happy to chat if you feel like connecting! We are friendly and approachable and also respect your privacy. As a family who loves Jesus, we’re ideally looking for someone who also follows Him and shares similar values to foster a harmonious and respectful living space.
