We’re a Christian family living at 352 Lake Road, Takapuna, and we’re looking for someone who wants more than just a room — someone who enjoys being part of a warm, caring household. We have two children (5 years old and 1 year old), and you’ll naturally become an uncle or aunty to them.
My wife is a teacher of Vietnamese literature and has supported many foreign missionaries in learning Vietnamese for ministry in Vietnam. I run my own businesses. If you enjoy badminton or ping-pong, you’ll fit right in!
Our home is in a prime location: 400m from Takapuna Beach, less than 100m from a large supermarket and pharmacy, and just steps away from multiple bus stops.
✨ Rooms Available
Single Room – $360/week
Double Room – $420/week for one person
Double Room – $550/week for two people (For two people: must be married or same-gender roommates, heterosexual.)
✨ What’s Included
Your own private room
All utilities (reasonable use): power, gas, water, internet
Shared household essentials: milk, bread, eggs, noodles, etc.
Shared cooking — we often prepare and enjoy main meals together; you’re welcome to show off your cooking skills if you like
Access to shared freezer food: meats, frozen vegetables, ice cream for family use
Shared cleaning — we keep the house tidy together as a family

If you enjoy a homely, family-style environment, this will be a great fit. We love spending time together — trips, picnics, and family activities — and we’d be genuinely happy for you to join us.
We also have a weekly Bible study family night, which you’re very welcome to join (completely optional).
