Gorgeous villa renovated throughout in Onehunga at the end of a cul-de-sac. It's wonderfully set up for flatting. Natural light throughout house.
Two rooms available:
* Upstairs Master bedroom $210/week + expenses
* Downstairs Double $180/week + expenses (Most previous flatmates have used a single bed to give lots of space for other belongings.)
New double glazed windows with laminated Low-e - helps maintain a nicer temperature - keeps heat in winter, keeps heat out in summer, 99% UV block, great for your skin and avoiding skin cancer.
Insulation - Double the building code in ceiling. Has underfloor AND in the walls (this is very unique for pre-2000 houses.)
Plush carpet, high quality light blocking curtains and multiple power plugs.
Two bathrooms in house - one upstairs, one downstairs.
Six bedrooms in house (3 upstairs and 3 downstairs.) Only one flatmate per bedroom.
Share a fridge/freezer and kitchen pantry with two others.
Fibre internet with a 'mesh' network - no dead spots!
Current flat community is diverse and inclusive - extroverts and introverts. 22-35 year olds, quality banter in the evenings if you're up for it when folks are cooking up a storm and hanging out in the open plan designer kitchen and dining area. Also welcome too if you're a more low key, quieter person.
Looking for someone responsible and a team player.
The most convenient location!
•Onehunga train station (500m away) - city life commute sorted.
•SH20 just around the corner making commuting to wherever else a breeze.
•Close to the airport (9min drive - off peak or $2 bus)
•Short walk to Onehunga cafes, shops, supermarket and library including Dressmart!
•Walkers/Runners/Cyclists/Lifestyle delight - access starting from house under SH20 to the $30M Onehunga beaches and foreshore (one of the closest houses.) And brand new is the connecting boardwalk over the water to Hillsborough.
•That same access the other direction you can walk/cycle (separated from the traffic) under the Manukau Crossing bridge (with a separate pedestrian only bridge soon to be opening) across to Mangere Bridge waterfront and through to Ambury farm with all the farm animals too. Then on to bike tracks ultimately reaching the airport! Or the other direction across the road from the villa is Glochester reserve and rugby field.
Move in dates:
4th or 5th June.
Leaving flatmate stayed for duration of his two year training course and now moving to next adventure.
Weekly costs are Rent+ $30 expenses (power/ water/internet/appliances/common furnishings + kitchen stuff/ gardening/ cleaning products)
Bring your own bedroom furniture aside from that mentioned above (furnished in common areas.)
NB: photos before we moved in, not flat furniture --> even better now!
