Partridge Ln, Paengaroa, Tauranga

Friends of mine have offered me this spacious four bedroom home on their farm, and I’m looking for some lovely humans to join me!  Apologies for the lack of photos, I’m not living there yet.

The “schoolhouse” has a rich history of accommodating Jesus-loving people, and was once a Christian school. It has a modern kitchen, open plan dining and living room, all with plenty of space. There’s also a large rumpus-garage-type space where I’m keen to have creative projects on the go, a ping-pong table, and raise seedlings. Outside, there are sheep, chickens, fruit trees, veggie gardens, a sports court and a trampoline and I’m planning to add a fire pit.

It’s empty now and I’m ready to move in in a couple weeks time.

Rent
The owners have asked me not to post this publicly, and the price will depend on how we configure the rooms, but it will be reasonable. Rent includes WIFI (Starlink), water, firewood and fortnightly lawn mowing.

About You
Ideally people in their late twenties to late thirties, but I’m open to chatting with anyone who feels drawn to this lifestyle. There’s easily room for a married couple, and I’m open to a child or two joining too.

Finding the right people matters most. I’d love to live with people who enjoy spending some time together and contributing to a friendly atmosphere. Bonus points if you’re musical, or into fishing or hunting (I’m not)!

I’m Miri! Female, 30, single, outgoing, and a little quirky. I’m a children’s book author/illustrator and am about to finish my social work degree. I work with children with disabilities. Love a weekend bush walk, sauna, beach fire. I play netball in winter. I’m passionate about social justice and aim to uphold Te Tiriti in my everyday life. I go to church at Local in the Mount. I have family who live in Pāpāmoa, who I’m close with. I’ve had a super busy year and am looking to slow down next year, get my hands in the garden and enjoy this space with good people.
