One of our flatmates is moving out so we have a sunny upstairs room available from late November/early December
The room is north facing, so gets plenty of sun throughout the day and has some great views over the city. There is enough room for a double bed and desk. It has a good size wardrobe with shelves and sliding doors which double as a full length mirror. Has access outside to a small balcony.
We are about as central in Auckland as you can get. Located just off the end of Mt Eden road there is easy access (as easy as you can hope for in Auckland) to the CBD via car or Bus. The Southwestern motorway is a 3-4min drive away to head toward the Airport or Manukau, or out west via the Waterview tunnel.
For walkers there is a small path in front of the house which goes to the Mt Eden Rd bus stop. And just around the corner are Three Kings shops with, Woolworths, a pharmacy and medical centre.
The house located at the end of a long driveway, a good distance from any roads and away from a majority of traffic noise. It has 6 bedrooms and 2 living areas. One shared area upstairs and a kitchen and dining area downstairs.
The flat has been going for a number of years and is well set-up with everything you need in a home. Including a washing machine, fridge-freezer, extra freezer in the garage, dishwasher, kitchenware and furniture in the shared spaces. Driveway parking available.
Currently there are 5 guys and one female, ages ranging from early 20s to mid 30s. Everyone is involved in church life and/or ministry. Flatmates attend local churches around Auckland, a couple at LIFE in Mt Eden, Equippers, Upper room etc. Flat dynamic is chilled yet friendly, we have busy schedules but will generally hang out and chat when around the house.
Rent is $193 all expenses included (power, water, fibre internet, gas), to be paid one week in advance. Bond $660. Cost breakdown is $156 for rent, $37 bills. Goes up $5 to $42 over the winter months (approx April-September). Bills include shared consumables, cleaning products etc.
The room will be available mid-late November or early December, date TBC. If someone needs to move in earlier there is plenty of room in the house and we are flexible so can figure something out til the rented room comes free.
Will likely have another room coming free in early Feb next year also.
