Room 1 is huge, sunny, has a large walk-in wardrobe with plenty of built-in storage and opens to the garden ($295/week). Room 2 is large, sunny, has plenty of built-in storage and high ceilings and opens to the garden ($230/week). Available now along with bed if needed.
There's plenty to like about this place. The house has a spacious lounge and dining area with plenty of all day sun. It has 1.5 bathrooms, laundry, garage and storage shed and is close to public transport and amenities.
This is a unique and fun flat with chats over cooking/dinner, movie nights and occasional flat outings. You need to be friendly and willing to share evening meals and chip in with being a ‘flat coach’ for the female flattie who has a learning disability. This involves being like a big sister, being encouraging and showing what it’s like to be a 'good flatmate' e.g. giving a nudge to turn off the lights, finish off tasks, take out the recycling etc. She’s very lovely, helpful and is cheerful to live with. Your contribution would be acknowledged with an allowance payment.
This flat has been going for 4 years. Previous flatmates include professionals and postgrad students. The current flatties are leaving Wellington.
The bus stop to town is just across the road or opt for the train station around the corner from the house. We are a 10-minute walk from Khandallah Village which has cafés, a supermarket, pub, pharmacy etc. If you’re into walks, Mount Kaukau is close by and has some great views.
Both rooms are available immediately with a 12-month tenancy to March 2025.
Move in cost is one weeks rent and $700 bond. Also, $20 / week for power, gas, internet.
