Wakari, Dunedin

We have 2 rooms available to rent in our house in Wakari - a smaller one is available now, and a larger one will be available in mid December (but could be sooner if needed). The rent for the smaller room is 167.50, and the larger room 178.75.

The house is well-equipped, sunny and in a good area, a 5-10 minute drive from town and uni. See this link for more photos of the rest of the house (they're old photos from before we moved in, so the furniture etc is different now) - https://homes.co.nz/address/dunedin/wakari/5-blantyre-road/8a9qZ. The photos I've attached to this CANZ listing are of the available bedrooms, and are current.

The first room (available now, for 167.50 per week) is small to medium in size, has a built-in wardrobe, and gets a little bit of afternoon sun. The second room (available mid December, for 178.75 per week) is medium to large in size, has a larger built-in wardrobe, and gets a good amount of sun. On top of rent we all pay 35 extra per week into a flat account to cover bills and shared household items like loo paper, dishwashing liquid etc.

Currently living here are 5 people - myself, my wife, and three other guys (though two of those are moving out). We're all Christians aged between 27 and 35, attending various churches, and all working or studying full time (apart from me - I'm working part-time currently). We're a friendly, down to earth bunch, who are up for a laugh and the occasional theological discussion. I have a small friendly dog, who apart from the odd barking episode is very easy to live with.

My wife and I's room is downstairs while the other three rooms are upstairs. The house has a pleasant, open, user friendly layout, two bathrooms, heat pump, pallet fire, a sunny deck, and an internal access double garage which we use for storage. I and one of the other flatmates moved in at the start of 2023 and have been here happily since.

We're currently on a rolling, periodic lease (no set end point) as opposed to a fix term. Our property manager and landlord are both really good to deal with.

We have a flat chores roster to help share housework around, and once a week take turns cooking a flat meal (though one person can't partake due to work).

We hope to find two new flatmates who are genuine and mature Christians, in or around our age range, and friendly, respectful and courteous. Flick me a message if you're interested!
